The Domino 400, track or tank Style stair crawler, is ideal for moving industrial multi-function printers. Capable or climbing stairs with a 400 kg printer, automatically maintaining a horizontal load platform ensuring the ink and trays are not disturbed. The problem with these heavy photocopiers is how to load them onto the stairclimber’s platform.
The Solution
A simple oversized base and ramp was designed to allow a single person to roll the multi function printers directly onto the stair climber. The base was fabricated to fit between a standard sized door jam and the ramp was carefully engineered to minimise the angle, making it easy to load the printer ready for the climb. Anti-slip material was incorporated for maximum safety and Aluminium was used to keep the weight to a minimum. The ramp can be attached to the stair crawler during the step climb.
