Information on Popular Lifting Devices: Order Picker and Hand Stacker

What is a lifting device? A lifting device can be defined as the equipment manufactured for making the task of carrying loads easier for human beings. In the past, people used to carry heavy objects on their back to move them from one place to another. While doing so, they ended up hurting their back. There were few workers associated with lifting tasks in warehouses and factories who didn’t have any back problem. The invention of lifting devices brought an end to this problem. These devices allowed people to carry heavy objects without causing any harm to their back muscles. In addition to that, these machines allow them to carry much heavier loads; this in turn had a positive effect on the production rate of companies that use lifting tools. In this article we’ll be discussing about two of the most popular lifting devices, the order picker and the hand stacker.

Order Picker

An order picker is a lifting tool specifically designed for increasing productivity and safety and reducing back strain. Currently, you will come across three models of this lifting device, the WF200, the FT200 and the FT200A. The following section will introduce you to the features of these three order picker models.

WF200: It can be used for carrying up to 200 kg of load (this includes the body weight of the operator). Its raised table height is an impressive 1500 mm. WF200’s platform is 550 mm wide and 600 mm long. While using this device you’ll be able to raise its battery operated lift quickly to the desired height.

The FT200 and the FT200A: These two order picker models are also used for carrying load of up to 200 kg (including the body weight of the operator). The platform of both these devices is 640 mm long and 600 mm wide. The lifting height of FT200 is 2720 mm and that of the FT200A is 3500 mm. Both these order pickers come equipped with mandatory safety bars and parking brakes.

Hand Stacker

The hand stackers are also often referred to as winch stackers. They come with adjustable forks that are used for lifting the heavy objects. The width of the fork varies depending on the model you are using. Below, we have discussed about the features and specifications of the two hand stacker models available on the market.

WS50: It can hoist objects weighing up to 500 kg. The device’s maximum fork height is 1560 mm. The fork length and width of the WS50 are respectively 1000 mm and 70 mm. The dimension of its steering wheel is 150 mm x 40 mm and its net body weight is 146 kg.

WS100: You can use the WS100s for lifting loads of up to 1000 kg. Its maximum fork height is 1500 mm. The fork is 160 mm wide and 1150 mm long. The dimension of WS100’s steering wheel is 150 mm x 50 mm. The net body weight of the device is 182 kg.
