How to Lift Heavy Objects Safely Using Aluminum Lifters and Order Pickers?

Are you wondering how to lift heavy objects safely without hurting your back? Using lifting devices for lifting, moving and placing heavy objects will allow you to carry out the entire task without causing any injury to you back. Today, the market houses a wide variety of lifting equipment; examples of devices used for lifting heavy objects include names like forklifts, drum lifters, lift tables, aluminum lifters, loading platforms, load skates, order picker etc. In this article we’ll be discussing about the features and specifications of the aluminum lifters and order pickers.

The aluminum lifters: As their name suggests, aluminum lifters are devices made from aluminum. These machines have light aluminum masts, which are equipped with robust wheels. These wheels allow the operators to use the aluminum lifters as trolleys. One of the most important parts of these lifters is their foot brakes. In addition to that, they also possess manual winches that allow easy lifting (you can also opt for aluminum lifters with electrically powered winches). Unlike many other lifting devices available on the market, these ones do not come with any hydraulic. Now, let us discuss the specifications of the two aluminum lifters models offered by top lifting equipment manufacturers.

STD-181: The STD-181 can be used for lifting objects weighing up to 181 kg. This machine’s maximum lifting height is either 2500 mm or 3100 mm. The minimum lifting height of the device, on the other hand, is 90 mm. Its fork length and fork width are respectively570 mm and 550 mm. The device’s overall length, breadth and height are respectively 883 mm, 630 mm and 1700 mm.

STR-181: Its maximum lifting height and weight lifting capacity are same as that of the STD-181. STR-181’s minimum lifting height is 50 mm. It is a 1700 mm tall, 1090 mm long and 1100 mm wide equipment with a 570 mm long and 330 mm wide fork.

The order pickers: Several businesses are nowadays using order pickers in their factory units for increasing their overall productivity, ensuring safety of the goods lifted and protecting the back of the workers from injuries. Order pickers are available in three models, the WF200, the FT200 and the FT200A. The discussion below will inform you about the basic specifications of these three order picker models:

WF200: The WF200s are basically hand-push units that can be maneuvered without any difficulty. They come with 2 parking brakes, which ensure complete safety of the products lifted. The other notable feature of the WF200 is its safety bar with mandatory 2 handle controls. The equipment’s platform size is 600×550 sq mm. You can use the device for lifting objects weighing up to 200 kg.

FT200 and FT200A: Like the WF200, these two order picker models are also capable for lifting objects with body weight of up to 200 kg. The lifting heights of the FT200 and FT200A are respectively 2720 mm and 3500 mm. Their platform size is 640×600 sq mm. Both these devices come equipped with mandatory safety bars and parking brakes.
