An Overview of the Working Procedure and Specifications of Tugs

Tugs are vehicles used for carrying heavy loads. Currently, you will come across three models of tugs in the market; they are Tug 1, Tug 2 and Tug 3. This article will inform you about the basic features and specifications of all three and will also explain their working procedure.

Tug 1: The standard, customisation hitches incorporated in the tug 1 make it an extremely versatile vehicle. Tug 1’s 220 Watt motor possesses an electromagnetic brake, which works by blocking the vehicle off even when it is on ramps and is fully loaded. These vehicles’ gel batteries, non-marking tires (the diameter of each of these tires is 360 mm) and oil bath gear transmissions ensure that they require minimum maintenance.

What are the specifications of the tug 1? The weight bearing capacity of the tug 1 is 100 kg. The vehicle’s overall length is 605 mm and the gap between its two wheels is 400 mm. Frame height of the tug 1 is 433 mm and its overall body weight is 62.50 kg. Both the maximum reverse speed and forward speed of tug 1 is 4.5 km/ hour.

Tug 2: You can use this vehicle for accomplishing a wide variety of external and internal moving needs. The main reasons behind this versatility of the tug 2 are the standard, customizable ballasts and hitches included in it. Its 600 Watt motor boasts an electromagnetic brake; the main function of the brake is blocking off the vehicle even when it is on the ramps, fully loaded. As the tug 2 is equipped with pneumatic low pressure motor tires (the diameter of each of the tires are 360 mm), you will be able to use it for moving heavy loads even on uneven grounds. The diameter of each of its front steering tires is 290 mm. The tugs are widely used for moving supermarket and airport trolleys, caravans, boats and airplanes.

How much weight can a tug 2 carry? You can use the tug 2 for moving objects weighing up to 300 kg. The vehicle’s overall length and weight are respectively 1400 mm and 114 kg. The gap between its wheels is 520 mm. Its maximum forward and reverse speed is same as that of the tug 1.

Tug 3: Like the tug 2, the tug 3 also features standard, customisation ballasts and hitches, which contributes significantly to the vehicle’s versatility. Tug 3’s 800 Watt motor boasts an electromagnetic brake, which works by blocking off the vehicle even when it is fully loaded and is on the ramps. The pneumatic low pressure motor tires of the tug 3 are bigger than the ones used in the tug 2; the diameter of the tires included in the tug 3 is 430 mm. The diameter of each of the front steering tires, on the other hand, is 330 mm. If you use the tug 3s as mini transporters, you will be able to use it for carrying objects weighing up to 500 kg. The vehicle’s own body weight is only 140 kg.
