The stairclimbing gearbox is very efficient. This X-ray view of the gearbox shows that with only three reductions we achieve a two hundred to one gear ratio. We use hardened gears and ball-bearings throughout. The dual 1800kg test lifting chains each have a pair of soft polyurethane lifting feet.
